Since 1999

Our Journey

From a single jacquard loom in Surat to sarees worn in 15+ states, this is the story of how Peshni grew one weave at a time — always on our own looms, always true to the craft.

How It Began

A Single Loom, A Simple Promise

Peshni started in 1999 as a small family workshop with one jacquard loom and a promise never to compromise on the weave. What began with a handful of Banarasi Mashru silks soon grew into a full manufacturing house, as we brought Bandhani, Ajrakh and Chinnon weaving in-house so every saree could be designed, dyed and quality-checked under one roof.

Nearly three decades on, that founding promise hasn't changed — only the number of looms, artisans and wardrobes it reaches.
